Financial Aid

Washington Capital United (WCU) is committed to making soccer accessible to all by offering need-based scholarships to eligible players. While we do not offer full scholarships, our aim is to provide financial assistance to families who might otherwise be unable to participate in our programs.

How to Apply

1. Accept the Player Offer: Once your player has received and accepted an offer to join a WCU team, you can begin the financial aid application process.

2. Applications can be submitted through the registration form in PlayMetrics after the player offer has been accepted.

3. Provide Supporting Documentation: For your application to be considered complete, you must upload supporting documents such as:

  • Federal Form 1040: A copy of your most recent tax return.
  • W-2s or 1099s: Copies of W-2s or 1099s for all adult members of your household.
  • Proof of Free or Reduced Lunch Eligibility: Current documentation showing eligibility for free or reduced lunch.
  • Proof of WIC or SNAP Benefits: Current documentation showing eligibility for WIC or SNAP benefits.
